Randy and Lisa Brown
“We’re getting worried right now after Chicago passed their soda tax.
“They’re again putting the burden on the backs of small businesses. The government comes in and they want more taxes, and everything out of our pockets. There is only so much money. You can’t keep taking when there is nothing else to give.
“If [the soda tax] goes over well then that might creep over [to Kane County]. You get to the point where you’re so taxed out, it’s like ‘why am I doing this anymore?’ Maybe you believe in businesses giving back in taxes, as we all need to do, but there comes a point in time where enough is enough.”
