How to run for office in Illinois
Every Illinoisan deserves a voice at the ballot box.
Over the past decade, millions of Illinois voters have had no voice in our state government. That’s because half of all House races have gone uncontested. There have been hundreds of instances where the only choice presented on the ballot was for a single candidate.
Illinois Policy is undertaking a historic effort to give millions of Illinois voters a voice.
We’re seeking civic-minded, qualified and capable Illinoisans – Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Libertarians or no political party at all – to be candidates in one of the many districts that have been deprived of competition over the past 10 years or more.
And we’re interested in hearing from you. Even if you have never run for or held public office in the past.
If you or someone you know is interested in honest service in elected office, contact Illinois Policy by filling out our brief survey.
