Katelynn Barbosa | Major Gifts Officer

Katelynn Barbosa is a major gifts officer at the Illinois Policy Institute, where she works with investors to help them meet their philanthropic goals and advance a vision for Illinois where freedom and opportunity enable everyone to thrive and build successful lives.

Before joining the institute, Katelynn built a professional development program at the Foundation for Excellence in Education, recruited for free-market nonprofit organizations at Talent Market, served as a career counselor at Notre Dame Law School and practiced law as a constitutional attorney at the Institute for Justice. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego and her law degree from the University of Chicago.

Katelynn lives in Carpentersville, Illinois, with her husband, Vince, and her daughters, Stella and Roxanne. She is a lover of stand-up comedy and a mediocre but consistent powerlifter.
