$65 Million in Wages at the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency

In 2008, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency paid 1096 employees over $64 million in wages.

In 2008, the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency spent $64,822,758.18 in wages on its 1,096 employees.  This includes 15 individuals making over $100,000 per year and 166 individuals making over $80,000 per year.  The highest paid employee of the Illinois EPA was the Director who made $130,426.90 followed by an environmental protection specialist who made $119,000 in 2008.

The $64 million in wages at the Illinois EPA in 2008 was $20 million more than the wages at the IllinoisState Board of Education, $36 million more than those at the Department of Agriculture, and $47 million more than the wages at the Department of Military Affairs.
