A sold-out crowd of more than 150 guests joined us for a special lunch keynoted by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, who discussed Indiana’s successes in creating a  business-friendly environment.  “Government never created a job, and government never created a nickel of wealth,” Governor Daniels noted. “Government merely creates the conditions whereby free men and women create wealth for each other.”

Daniels also earned a big laugh with his assessment of Chicago’s failed Olympics bid: “What is the world coming to,” he asked, “when Illinois can’t fix an election?”
